I think the money could have been better spent on other right now. Crazy idea but we could start designing the country on the assumption of fewer cars in the future.

In 30-50 years, young people are gonna ask us what was so important that we were in such a rush all the time to need this infrastructure and I don't think we're gonna have a good answer. Not the same level of loss of life, but I fear it'll make as much sense as WW1 in retrospect.

I’m pretty sure that’s how its builders intended it. If you time it right, on the summer solstice, holding a steady 5mph, the setting sun shines through the largest of the standing stones and refracts perfectly off your rear-view mirror.
