    The City (where I was born and raised) came in tops for their residential & commercial recycling rate at 51%. They have high diversion rates because they require all businesses, apartments, & homes to have recycling and composting service.

    Best residential city recycling rate in the whole state goes to at 60%. They have great volume-based pricing for trash that creates a strong financial incentive for households to recycle more and produce less waste.

    It's Colorado Recycles Week and released our latest State of and Composting report. In 2019, CO produced more waste & our diversion rate dropped to 15.9%. However, a number of CO cities/counties showed we can do a lot better.
