Only thing I can think of is him being appointed to the COVID taskforce, but he was already the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases by then He's also the chief medical advisor now but he was appointed to that by Biden

Look, I'm not trying to argue about the NIAID's funding decisions, questionable or not. I just wanted to say he's not really a Trump appointee, or if he is, it's by a pretty narrow definition of that

I see. What would you say is the threshold, when those funding decisions become worth arguing about? I guess you are saying that maybe having killed 3.5 million people and wrecked the world economy is not that bad, so I am just wondering where the line is.
