I'm kinda mad that Cal Newport has captured the term "Deep Work" to mean something more like "Deep Focus." post hoc I would avoid confusion by recasting Jon's definition as "Ambitious Projects."
His definition of “deep work” is what people just used to call “work” back when they knew how to do that. I don’t think “ambitious projects” works for me because ambition seems like a more trivial thing.
