Miami is a 1000% nicer better place to live than anywhere in the Bay Area right now. Except for the temperature... not sure what to do about that.

SF, and the major cities in California generally, seem to be overwhelmed by people whose implicit mission is to make life miserable. There is none of that here, and you feel the difference very quickly.

There are plenty of places in the US that aren’t Miami and have much better weather that fit that description...

I’m biased, but Colorado. Boulder has its share of scolds (and high housing prices - perhaps related?) but that’s isolated. Weather is great (no humidity, warm summers, relatively mild winters)

I tried Denver last summer but a lot of it was economically trashed like SF. Colorado Springs was not quite for me, though there is DRAGONMANS. Have not checked out Boulder but since it seems like the most left-wing part of Colorado it is probably not for me.
