SF, and the major cities in California generally, seem to be overwhelmed by people whose implicit mission is to make life miserable. There is none of that here, and you feel the difference very quickly.

Too bad it'll be underwater soon.

I have a contrarian view on that and find it doubtful.

Never been to the US so I have only a vague idea about the life there. Life in the UK is not too bad, despite what you might have heard.

Curious if you mean Miami in general or Miami Beach. Most tech folks I know moved to Miami Beach itself which I can see being great for a tech scene but it is incredibly small and expensive so it has growth limits.

The temperature is great in the winter. That's the busy season for the golf courses, etc. In the summer, being close to the ocean at night is typically fine because of the wind. During summer days, I typically only go outside when going to water or a shady and breezy area.

Spoken like someone who’s never actually lived in south Florida
Trust me, it’s nice to visit, but it’s miserable. The heat, the traffic, it’s pretty oppressive. I lived half my life there then went west and never looked back.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
