  Curious if you mean Miami in general or Miami Beach. Most tech folks I know moved to Miami Beach itself which I can see being great for a tech scene but it is incredibly small and expensive so it has growth limits.

  The temperature is great in the winter. That's the busy season for the golf courses, etc. In the summer, being close to the ocean at night is typically fine because of the wind. During summer days, I typically only go outside when going to water or a shady and breezy area.

  Spoken like someone who’s never actually lived in south Florida Trust me, it’s nice to visit, but it’s miserable. The heat, the traffic, it’s pretty oppressive. I lived half my life there then went west and never looked back.
