We used to buy everyone the same health insurance and tried to make it a pretty good plan. In2020 we switched so that you get a pre-health-insurance salary, then you can pick which health insurance plan you want and that deducts ... so people can have more money if they want.
Also it means we are not contributing as much to blind rise of health insurance prices ... at least not at the company level.
Good for you, think this is great! I pick the cheapest option I'm offered but it's still way "better" than I'd prefer. Really just want catastrophic coverage, happy to take normal expenses out of pocket and skimp on premiums.
