Very hard to describe how embarrassing this is for everyone involved in the Web and, sort of, software more generally.https://mobile.twitter.com/Suhail/status/1387063023521595394 …

There's nothing embarrassing about it. Games & native desktop apps are slow too. The browser is the most important app of our time to do work and the web apps are just getting more complex. It's a testament to its potential & openess. Why wouldn't we make this great?

I'd love to hear from @Jonathan_Blow whose work I'd consider important, e.g., best-in-class video games, featuring gorgeous, highly original, artwork. What would you consider the most important apps for your work? And in particular, where would you rank the browser?

Browser is pretty far down the list. We could make games without a browser (which we use for a couple of things), but probably could not without 3D modeling and texturing tools, or the compiler and debugger, and it would be pretty hard without source control.

Thanks, yeah it's similar for me (software developer/designer). I love the approach you're taking @Suhail but I'd like to see it applied more to the performance problems creators face. I think for the most part the browser is lower priority (Figma being the exception).
