How many web developers understand that a low-end integrated GPU on a laptop can draw full 4k screens of pixels at 3000 frames per second?

Some background if you don't know how games work: every frame the renderer clears the screen to zeros and redraws the entire scene from scratch. Every frame. This often involved complex shadows in 3D space and many blur passes.
To more specifically address the "clip by path" question: in that footage, every time you see anything in that scene in front of another thing, like a hill, some grass, bumps of snow, tower, everything behind it is "clipped" to the thing in front. A path polygon is trivial.

I mean like, in this image, it is "clipping" to the "path" of the chain link fence (along with everything else in the scene!) Seems like a pretty complicated path compared to anything I have seen in a web UI...pic.twitter.com/PXbMeTlRB0
