How many web developers understand that a low-end integrated GPU on a laptop can draw full 4k screens of pixels at 3000 frames per second?

I agree with that but what a weird flex if you ask me.
If someone is designing the transmission for a car, they should maybe know within an order of magnitude how fast the car is supposed to be able to go. If they don't, maybe they are not qualified to do their job.

Sadly, not. Compared to electrical / mechanical / construction engineering, software engineering today isn't a real engineering discipline. Try imagine a road bridge constructed with the mindset of a web developer. It's only tolerated because nobody dies from a slow web app.
