Looking on Netflix, every sci-fi show has the tag "Dystopian". I suspect there is a very big opportunity for a show-runner who can imagine stepping outside that mold.

Expanse is very dystopian, I don't know why people keep bringing it up as a counterexample.

to me it shows a future where we have populated the solar system and come across a portal to far away star systems! i find the very optimistic. politics arent solved yet but cant have everything
