Hmm yeah, I can sort of understand that he doesn't want to open the floodgates just yet, but at the same time there's a whiff of gatekeeping and elitism ;) It's a strange development model for sure when pretty much all other languages are developed in the open by now.
If you want to make something different than what exists, it's maybe a good idea to do things differently than how they are usually done.

I perfectly understand why it might be difficult to work in the open, it is mostly a cultural / psychological thing. I also have a really hard time sharing something that I consider to not be fully baked. But in the case of Jai, it might stunt its potential growth...
