What makes this so fast compared to other compilers? Probably has a lot to do with how the code is written as well? I've been learning Unreal Engine lately and it's really frustrating how one line change can take 30sec to compile with msvc and everyone thinks it's normal

I'm going to guess some combination of "don't do dumb stuff", "allocate data for hot code paths carefully", and "I have no idea wtf msvc is spending that time on"

No, but I believe about 50-80 people are in the closed beta He’s mentioned that he wants to continue increasing the size, and may ultimately start giving those in the beta invite codes instead if manually choosing participants
