Better but also worse, it turns out there is a software warning, but it is a tiny dim icon that there's no way you would know is a caps lock warning, it's just there. So it doesn't actually help.

Are you using pop_os? The password field in the login screen has an indicator

I just checked, and it does! ... sort of. It's a tiny, dim icon in the field that nobody is going to know what it means, and there is no explanatory text if you hover over it. I just didn't even think about it before, figured it meant "secure login" or something.

I think it is the crap System76 are selling.... where does all this problem come from? I always mostly installed Linux on lenovo computers and the only thing that didn't work on my Legion Y720 was the keyboard backlight, but everything else works.
