Jonathan, you aren't wrong. There is this tunnel vision that a lot of heavy GNU/Linux users get. Nothing can shake their elitism. Nothing. But using Linux often times feels like going backwards in time. There is a wide chasm of quality between FOSS and proprietary software.

But I will say that the best Windows machine I have was meant to be a Linux laptop. Fully repairable, with a totally easy user replaceable battery. Libretrend Wildebeest, incase you're interest. Runs Windows like a dream. To be fair it runs Linux well also.
