half the screen. I am unable to use the laptop without hard-powering it off. GG guys. (Also, the trackpad and mouse 'buttons' on this laptop are freaking terrible, but, that has not much to do with Linux).

This is actually the most successful Linux attempt that I've had in about 15 years. Still doesn't just work.

P.P.S. The number of condescending comments I get on postings like this, every time, is very large. If you are going to make a comment like this and are 20-something years old, don't even. In college I used to boot up my Linux machine with a big ascii Bob Dobbs every day.

If you make smug "Linux just perfectly works for me because I am so smart" comments, Bob thinks you are a pink. Thanks bye.

Sure, it sucks but on such circonstances, on Windows, you ar e doomed forever. On linux you can grab the code and debug it. Sure, it's a mess, it takes time, it's not pleasant, but you can. I consider fixing 1 bug is a small (and useful) contrib compared of all you got "for free"

If "you can fix it" then how come these problems persist for years and don't get fixed?

It just work when you know what to do. I once bought a new laptop and I had to compile a new Linux kernel to make WiFi work.

If you have to know what to do, that doesn't mean it "just works", that means it just "works"

I use Windows, Mac and Linux. My favorite by far is Linux, but it's a personal choice. People can run into problems with any system. The question is: since some people are keen to deal with their problems on Linux and like your games, why not engage with them?
-
Because you go out of business if you make games for Linux, then you can't make games any more.
