Okay people. This is where we are at, now.https://mightyapp.com/

And you have this whole program the point of which is to be a dumb client to show server-side data. But because Modern Software, now I guess that is too slow! Now you need a server to run the client to view the server-side data and then show it to your client client.

I am going to get ahead of the curve and start my new company Mightier, because we know that after everyone switches to Mighty, that will become too slow. So you can use Mightier to use your Mighty to use Chrome to see the data on the server.

Im little bored with this thesis. Programming now is 20x more easy than it was 20 years ago. It is easy because of layers of error defence and abstractions. Because of that it is also slow. Give all programmers real power and you will end up with more broken world than it is.
-
Is it 20x more easy? On what basis do you say that? Is it really "error defense" that makes current software slow? On what basis do you say that?
-
For example javascript running on browser is 'safe' because of vm. So web developer cant crash your system. It is example of defensive and, for known reasons, slow operation.
-
dude, you don't need a JavaScript VM to prevent programs from crashing your system. that's a benefit of running programs in an OS with per-process virtual memory, which - guess what - we had 20 years ago!
-
Why you doesnt like vm? JavaScript is jit-compiled and pretty fast for dynamic language. It is no real sense to run web code in OS space, it will be run in container like js vm is.

And yet we can't run a browser without it taking gigabytes of memory.
