Thanks for answering! Just making sure I understand that correctly: In this case, handles don't carry type information at all, you just know by context whats on the other end? And for non-entity-data that I want to serialize, just pointers, no handles?

Stuff like "generational index" is an implementation detail that you don't want to serialize because when you read that back, it won't match your system's current values! (I don't do things this way, but if you did, yeah, it's an internal detail).
