Look at the Tweets & Replies tab for me today, I have been talking about this with a few other people in various threads.
Also yesterday I think. Today was about Unix Philosophy stuff, but sometime in the last few days I was talking about process isolation / minimizing the kernel / getting rid of drivers.

Out of interest, how would you propose getting rid of drivers? You could certainly decrease the number of them by extending PNP to include more information about the device and how to interface with it, but I feel like it'd inevitably suffer from oversights
