          It's a open-sourced image'/texture format that is more optimized for GPUs on any platform. Seems really useful for any program that does GPU rendering. A good explanation on the topic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG4vqQO1-nQ … .jpeg file = 891kb .basis file (highest quality)= 469kb
