Look do you ever just stop and think about the fact that the Anasazi were trading for live macaws from the Yucatan which means traders were walking over a thousand miles with a loud, yappy bird

if i wanted to call someone out there would've been screenshots. the point isn't to cancel anyone but to remind y'all that much of this discourse is horrifyingly insincere & we all need better judgement in peeping the phony shit

And let's be real. Limbaugh never once said the transatlantic slave trade was a human tragedy, or expressed sympathy for those who died or were killed. He simply wanted to embarrass a member of the CBC for daring to bring up slavery on the House floor.

Trump is coming for Medicaid. Healthcare will only be defended if we defend it. All of us, together.

We should eliminate caucuses, establish a national primary day, and implement ranked-choice voting.

Our friends are doing a series of podcasts on Montgomery County's school boundary analysis. Check out their latest interview with former school board member Jill Ortman-Fouse:

To clarify: this is not a serious, pejorative statement about older people. It’s a joke about the likelihood that people who aren’t digital natives struggled with an unfamiliar technology vs. used that unfamiliar technology to orchestrate a vast election conspiracy.

These conspiracy theories are killing me. The Iowa caucus is run by old white volunteers--what's more likely, that they rigged the entire primary or they had trouble with an app?

There's a lot going on in America and the world, so I'm really glad wrote this column on the blatant racism of Trump's latest travel ban and its historical precedents.

Hot take: for the next presidential primary we have the original 13 states go first in on massive east coast primary race. After that you can select in the order in which the states entered the Union. Except for a Iowa. Iowa goes last for a few cycles as punishment.

All y'all tweeting tonight about how caucuses are terrible: this is basically how we handle public input for planning decisions. See the problem?

A completely sincere thought: Thousands of totally well-meaning people spent a year of their lives working for candidates and their reward was being part of a historic debacle, because the state party fumbled an app. It’s infuriating.

I realize it's FUN and perhaps easy to think of the DNC as some kind of puppet master, but that's not how caucuses and primaries work. You know the whole "separate states" thing is a thing to consider here.

I just want to let the NYTimes Op-Ed political team know, for the record, that the DNC doesn't actually have anything to do w/ the results in Iowa. That's all on the state party.
