Gas station profits go up when gas prices go down. Really. My @AP story on how/why: http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_268793/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=MUpnSw82 …

@JonathanFahey @AP Did anyone teach you about how the free market works? Nope? Didn't think so. 3% profit margin is not much.

@esugrad72 Maybe read the story again? "Stations do not make much money from selling gasoline." http://bigstory.ap.org/article/d24191c6139647f982fc2500edfe0563/low-gas-prices-so-does-station-owner …

@JonathanFahey My objection was your getting back at the gas stations for the higher prices comment. The free market works.

@esugrad72 Story's about how oil/gasoline market works, not whether it does. Many (most?) think stations are owned by oil companies.

@JonathanFahey That is true...but there is no getting up on the stations.

.@JonathanFahey Everyone's profits go up when energy prices are low. How could you possibly be surprised by that? Profits up when costs down

@DonaldAreyIII I get it but talk to people at stations & you'll see. Note story's 2nd quote: "antithetical to what most people believe."

.@JonathanFahey My bad, I made an assumption about you without thinking it through. Thanks.

@JonathanFahey @AP I know! Let's boycott the gas stations. That'll show 'em, you twit.
