It's a ploy to get more money, plain and simple.

It sure seems that way. Read that their projections about increasing TSA Pre weren't working out, suddenly we get long lines.

@jschau11 It all seems quite regional, meaning TSA has no idea how to allocate resources.

kinda like the "crisis" of closing the free & open national parks over a budget fight, right? :)

Don't understand why taxpayers pay for TSA? Airlines have more at stake and could include cost in tickets. Only flyers should pay.

@SonnyBunch Last week Austin TSA line delay: no bins. Took 10 mins for someone to bring bins back from other side of scanners.

Took me about three minutes getting thru security at LAX on a Friday night recently.

They probably want more money.

O'Hare's official Twitter account has been warning for the past few days that it's happening there every day.

Nah. A much maligned federal agency wouldn't do something like that on purpose. Would they?

.@JonahNRO Had the same thought. Maybe just in DC? DC Media thinks must be the same everywhere cuz DC and NYC is center of universe.
