Why would any reputable person or group continue to defend a man who instigated an insurrection against the U.S. Government in which people were killed including a U.S. Capitol Police Officer?

74 million votes for him. That’s the worst part.

This is insane. They know he’s a drag on the party. He has no public forum, no organization, no organizational skills, and no work ethic.
@GOP could quietly let him fade away, or even (gasp) use facts to convict him of crimes, high and otherwise, but no they couldn’t. -
And where is his base going to go? Extremist complain the most, and make the most noise about leaving a party, but they have no place to go. They aren’t going to go vote for the other side, and they know third parties are a dead end.

Polling, like science, is not to be trusted or needed. Just look at the comments here.

Seems like an addiction. They know in the long term this won't end well, but the highs are so easy and the breakup would be long and painful.

I’m shocked, shocked that an organization that sends out scammy and abusive fundraising appeals would seek to hide polling numbers from its own memberspic.twitter.com/b1Ij7PtuVY

That is shockingly bad. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, because I heard something like that was making the email rounds from them, but no, I'm still shocked. Where do they get off?!
