I suppose that's true IF the reason college grads do better is strictly because they are advantaged competitively. But there is also a significant element of colleges teaching required skills, and it's the skills that generate the advantage.

most reasonable hiring managers evaluate you on basic credentials and first impressions. If you get past that, you can produce all you life history but they really don't want it.

My kiddo has a undergrad, a masters in education and a law degree. It wouldn’t have hurt my feelings if he’d had chosen to be an electrician or a carpenter.
