“Science is skepticism,” @JonahNRO writes to justify attack on climate science (based on polemics of non-scientists). But scientists aren’t skeptical of gravity, evolution, relativity, round earth etc. Those who are can’t claim to be pro-science.https://www.nationalreview.com/g-file/climate-change-frenzy-clouds-our-judgment/ …

No, we know the solutions, and passed by opportunities to implement them for decades - making future action more costly. This is a delaying tactic to avoid the libertarian horror of...gasp...regulations, taxes and commitment to international cooperation for carbon reduction.

You speak as if
@gorskon,@MichaelEMann etc. haven’t seen this grudging shift from denial to “lukewarmer” a billion times before. - Show replies

Why are you including cold fusion as the first of your “needs more”? Pons and Fleischman blew it and the scientific community was not able to reproduce their results. The Texas A&M repro was fleeting and shown to be the result of a short.

He uses cold fusion in that context because he either (a) doesn't understand the difference tween real science & long ago debunked junk science or (b) he's being willfully ignorant.

Basic science (physics, chemistry, biology) is the foundation of the diagnosis. If the treatment ("solutions") is rooted in/dependent on economic theory, it can't & shouldn't be allowed to ride the coattails of the former. It's not a delay tactic, it is a principled stop tactic.
