    72 councils saw providers close or cease trading in the previous 6 mths, affecting 7,019 people, more than 2x the number reported by in the 2018 survey. 3464 people affected by homecare providers having to hand contracts back

    Our Reablement service, which helps people return to independence at home after a hospital admission or following illness, has been rated outstanding by the CQC 🌟 In 2016 the service was the first in the country to get this rating 🙌 Full story:

    You are not alone. What is happening with capital isn’t sustainable. Too many patients and too many staff in unfit estate and we are storing up so many problems. So for sure it needs unlocking

    Meeting a huge surplus control total has taken it toll on our teams, but at least we had the hope that it would bring with it capital to invest in our old and creaking estate. Now the ability to spend that hard earned capital is looking highly questionable and its demoralising 😢

    So proud of today’s landmark report about the Wigan Deal by I hope our story inspires others to overcome fatalism in public services & build services around people’s strengths. I will be talking more on our journey at later!
