There was at least one "YG" candidate who suspended their campaign like the -day- they got their checkmark. Saw several Berners pulling the stunt in 2016 too.
I wonder how many people run for congress just for a blue checkmark.

I’m convinced a large number of people run for President just so they can be introduced on TV as “Former Presidential candidate.” I imagine it helps to sell more books too.
