EEA is probably the best option now (and in fact at all points since the day after the referendum) but doesn't off the shelf EEA without the customs union mean a customs border in Ireland? So isn't the integrity of the UK still just as threatened with EEA?
RoI alignment with the UK on customs and agriculture and fisheries.....we are islands. Numerous cross border initiatives over the last 20 years shows the UK is more adept at compromise than the EU and could make this work.

Ah the old Ireland leave the EU and join the UK plan. Problem is Ireland don't want to do that

No, though I do believe in that too. Article 349 would leave Ireland in the EU
