The "Dublin establishment" supported the UK over the past 20 years. As I said, eaten bread is soon forgotten. All Irish government has done now is insist the Belfast Agreement is protected in Brexit. The Irish people support that. Should be an easy ask. It's UKs agreement too.

To a certain extent. It's not going to apply a special arrangement that applies to small territories belonging to EU members to a large region of an ex-EU member. Why would it? How could it, unless NI stayed in the EU?

It would apply to RoI for those reasons. Ireland is 3.5m. Canaries 2m. So in terms of population it would be so controversial.
