Beautiful, glad you liked it. We have had decades of passive aggressive manoeuvering from Dublin. The longest one way street in post WW2 European history. And the more given, the more demanded. Brexit has just confirmed we can never rely on Dublin not to try and screw us.
Article 349 solves it. Brussels can do it. Would allow Ireland to extract concessions from the EU too. For Ireland it is win win.

Okay, leaving aside the issue that Ireland is *not* comparable with the Canary Islands, how would A349 solve the issue?

Unique situation where local political and economic factors otherwise hold back development. Customs, farming and fishing + FoM people could be coordinated with the UK. BIPA is a very underused aspect of the Belfast Agreement.
