The immigration pattern is interesting. It is NOT constant but usually in response to rapid increases in demand secondary to poor long term planning. Ie 2nd Blair term, Post Francis report. Immigration is a response to surge demand.

Yes, of course it is, why wouldn't it be? Doesn't excuse the fact that it is necessary. Surely we can train enough indigenous doctors & nurses to meet demand? My point is that it seems deliberate that this is not happening.
