Brexit: "An unmitigated disaster for science & an unmitigated disaster for the health service.” - says Prof John Hardy, winner of world's most prestigious prize in neuroscience. So true. Nothing to do with Brexit. Over 80% of nurses leaving are British.

Agree. Deliberate under-resourcing on the road to creeping privatisation via Mr J Hunt, the pressures are too much. I completely agree nothing to do with Brexit.

Chronic undertraining leading to a downward spiral, demoralised nurses leave the nhs leading to staff demoralisation. Not Brexit. Doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Lets solve it by accepting what it is. Not Brexit

Why chronic under-training? On the job time restrictions? They all have degrees these days, never needed them until relatively recently. My son is an ICU doctor & I only hear of the nursing pressures from that perspective.

And yes the debate is skewed in that "nurses" do not enjoy 100% substitutability. A cardiology sister cannot perform at that level on an ortho ward.
