I'm rather agnostic on the whole English Parliament debate but this did give me pause for thought. Also might be relevant to your interests @wonkotsane http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/brexit/2018/01/18/in-the-post-brexit-world-england-deserves-its-own-parliament/ …

It is a parliament designed to exclude, that's its sole objective in the union. I cannot think of a single issue where scottish or welsh mps hold back England

We only have crippling university tuition fees and bankrupt foundation hospitals in England because of MPs elected in Scotland.

horseshit. Scotland cut its own college budget to fund tuition fees and suffers from it. And the fees cripple no one. Foundation hospitals BY THEIR NATURE make independent decisions on PFI; which Scotland is a heavy user of too.

The Bill for tuition fees for England was voted against by a majority of MPs elected in England. The Bill only passed because of the votes of Labour's MPs elected in Scotland. The same applies to foundation hospitals. Both areas devolved in Scotland.

Yawn. 15 years ago, could be repealed at any point. That's a Labour whip issue.

It's not a Labour whip issue, it's a constitutional issue. Labour wouldn't have been able to whip Scottish MPs to vote on either of those bills if we had an English Parliament.

Could the issues now be revoked? Yes. Does any party want to? No. Would SNP oppose? No because Scotland rejected FTs. Start a campaign, see how you do.

It's not the Bill that matters, it's the fact that Scottish MPs are able to vote on English laws that they have no say on in their own constituencies. I suspect you know this but are being obtuse because you're a Big Britisher.

You're in UKIP right? If you aren't a "Big Britisher" what are you and how does that tie with UKIP being a UK party?
