And celebrated. London, Liverpool and Chester have all hosted the Eisteddfod. A Mòd every year at Usher Hall in Edinburgh would be fab. I get sick of left wing comedians from Oxford coming up for the fringe! They're all the bloody same.

I saw an ambulance at Monklands hospital, all the writing in Gaelic. In Coatbridge...... seriously?? Up north, yes, but in the central belt?

Remember hearing my Irish Granny and neighbours at a wedding discussing things in Erse (Irish). Totally fascinating. All now gone. Gaeltacht shrunk. All I can say is Tá brón orm (sad)

My dad told me my great aunt spoke only Welsh so struggled in St. Helens. It's strange when I learn about my Irish and Manx past. Man is British but not in the UK. No one in Merseyside is taught how we got here except..."potatoes" So you end up with obvious gaps in your heritage
