Conservative trolls have been targeting A4U for weeks. We have endorsed several Conservative constituency candidates but the behaviour of their supporters is concerning. Trolling is unlikely to attract voters from other parties. Let's hope their behaviour improves and quickly.

Twitter isn’t real life, we’re not trolls we’re realists

You're desperate and panicking. Everyone can see it very clearly. That's not how you attract voters from other parties.

Of course I’m desperate and panicking, 7 bloody years and the pro GB politicians still can’t work together and just when labour looked like it was going to collapse so Tory could win they try to save themselves and then you lot come along looking for a turn at the trough.

Eh? They were offered, over many months, the chance to work together. They refused. They played their old game, relying on list seats for sinecure. Their game has been called out and they're furious. They're not trying at all.

We had three unionist parties already, tell me one good reason just one why we needed a fourth?

Because we are list only and will not have our vote diluted by winning constituency seats, unlike the main parties. We still have three unionist parties contesting all 73 constituency seats. Are you quite happy with that?

No of course I’m not because what few percent of votes you’re likely to get will have a real impact on the amount of labour, Tory and Lib Dem list MSPs that will be elected.

So if A4U wasn't standing any candidates, would everything have been fine?

As I already said, I had high hopes for A4U, I had thought George would campaign for tactical constituency voting, which you are and that’s fine, it’s the list votes that are a mistake and they’re such a mistake that it makes your campaigning for tactical voting irrelevant.

Basic maths. 73 constituencies. 65 needed for a majority. 129 MSPs total. NO WAY of beating the SNP unless they cooperate in the constituencies. We are currently on for 1 Tory and 3 Lib Dem constituencies. That is appalling. Not a single Labour constituency. Really poor.
