The EU isn't mentioned once in the GFA, is it?
No need. No chance of it being accepted or being workable. Naive to think otherwise.

What's the alternative, though? GFA wouldn't have passed if it included a "weighted majority" clause on unity, and no new agreement would either.
-
Moving the goalposts requiring a supermajority now it seems vaguely possible that BP may be in the wind in the coming years/decade... what a brilliantly naive idea that would go down like a lead balloon.

Quite frankly I think it's naïve for anyone (especially someone not from the island of Ireland) to suggest that the constitutional position of Northern Ireland will be decided in any other way. This was agreed and mandated by the people of Ireland, north and south, 23 years ago.

Not by the British people and not by a referendum in any case. Only states a majority. Does not explain, rightly, how future govts would decide that.

I’d say the British govt would accept it gladly and say thanks very much lads. Bye now.

So are you of the opinion that in the event of there being a majority in NI in favour of uniting with ROI that simply refusing would be accepted or workable?
-
I wouldn't waste your time, Shaun. This guy appears to believe that even in the event of a border poll in favour of unity, approval from GB would be required by way of a confirmatory referendum. A quick glance at his timeline will reveal that he is quite the Walter Witty type.
