Haven’t drunk a bottle of Fullers London Pride in some time. Have they changed the brew? Seems much maltier than I remember: getting on towards barley wine level of sweetness.

Stronger than draft. Also its not very hoppy. If youve drank hoppy ales itll taste quite malty sweet. Usually maltiness is actually sweetness in ales.

I’ve drunk Fullers & Youngs beers most of my life (it’s a south-west London thing. Or was ...) so expect hoppiness from classic-era Wandsworth Youngs, but not from Fullers session beers. ESB or Golden Pride, yes I’d expect that sweetness: not in Chiswick Bitter or London Pride

Might brew a clone from the 1950s and see how it turns out.
