1. There is no reason to suppose we will not go much higher than 4%. We can appeal to a much broader cross section of voters than Tories or Labour. 2. We are more likely to get the U-voters who are disillusioned by feeble opposition out to vote. 3. We can't just reinforce failure

i’m sorry Jamie - you seem like a decent chap and i believe you mean well - but what i see is here is you fragmenting the pro-union vote (and those list seats really matter) and boosting GG’s ego in the process at best it’s a massive gamble with far more downside than up

No Kevin,
#A4U are uniting the pro-Union vote on the list by giving voters disillusioned by the failures of ConLibLab somewhere to go and putting serious pressure on them to do the right thing and unite the vote in constituencies by not standing against each other.#UniteToWin1 antwoord 2 retweets 9 vind-ik-leuks -

i know that’s what you want to happen Jamie and I’m willing to believe that’s what you think will happen - but the evidence suggests that’s not what’s happening

Four and a half weeks to go Kevin. We know what happened last time and the time before with the Tory/Labour strategy. I have been trained not to reinforce failure but try a different approach.

i’ve paid attention to Anas and i’ve paid attention to George - i have no doubt which of those two puts party and country before ego

It’s a false comparison Kevin. George has explicitly ruled himself out of being part of a coalition government. In fact he might be instrumental in putting Anas into power.

i agree there is no comparison between the two - and you and i both know that the net result of GG’s ego trip is likely to be fewer seats for Scottish Labour

I don’t accept that at all.

Tories standing in Glasgow so.....yeah. I keep saying it. Dont confuse being Pro-UK with the gig. This is the classic "no tall poppies" strategy. It's their gig. We're not invited.
