Either Tories can refuse indyref2 at Westminster or they can't. Their campaign so far is the definition of duplicity. Being two faced about the same issue. They are lying at least half of the time. Call them out on it. Either indyref is reserved or it isnt.

The nats are relying on the Supreme Court riding to their rescue should their illegal bill be challenged by UK Gov. However, Section 35 of the Scotland Act makes interesting reading, and suggest any IndyRef2 bill could be dead on arrival.

I don't think it will get to court. Section 35 allows the Secretary of State to instruct the Presiding Officer not to submit a Bill of the Scottish Parliament for Royal Assent. IndyRef2 joins the choir invisible.

Scot gov can go to court and say the party of the UK gov in the election said vote for us to stop indyref. That's very dangerous.

I agree that the message is electioneering bullshit and politically stupid, but I don't think it's necessarily dangerous. Courts will not get involved in the content of election flyers. Where the hell would that end?

It's a risk. It's also the statements of two governments.
