This new competition puts quite a lot of importance in the recipe of a beer.
I understand the need to wittle down the entrants, but I dont really think the recipe tells you anything. The points that make or break a beer are in the process!

5 litres: 500g Medium Spray malt, 100g Golden Syrup. 5g Goldings at 60 mins, 5g Goldings at 30 minutes 1/2 tsp gravy browning ( its brewers caramel plus a touch of salt Ive brewed ten years all grain and I love the stuff ) US04 - half a packet. Will be lovely.

Thanks for this, most definitely will try it. Did my first two grain brews and it is definitely more work. I'm curious about the gravy browning...

Once you've done all grain you'll never go back to extract. No one ever does. Time is less of an issue these days while no one in tech is commuting.
