Prince Philip being transferred to an NHS hospital should put the myth of private hospitals being somehow better to bed. Much like Boris and Covid the only reason they go there is security, not quality of healthcare. Private hospitals *can’t* treaty strongly acute & critical

Agree with your first statement. I don’t recognise the phrase ‘private emergency care’ although I concede that it is entirely one of perspective.

Especially what I call a palace referral......surgeon transfers own PP direct on to NHS ward, bills the patient as planned, leaves NHS with the backend bill...and being the SHO doing that transfer. Dirty

My dvt was dx privately 1/10/2012 but I had tried to access NHS help for 37 days before 1/ husband decided to try Bupa as we were afraid that I might lose leg, 2/ Addenbrookes microlegal and PALS said that I could not reattend A&E because it was a GP problem not A&E.

NHS Addenbrookes Thrombosis Treatment Team 2/10/12 then didn't look at dx scan or run tests (only INR blood check for how much heparin and warfarin Spire Cambridge Lea Orthopaedic Consultant had given me previous night at 8pm in corridor vs a medical setting). No leg examination.pic.twitter.com/nD7TeJg7GI
