Burgundy pricing is the new catheterisation: thoroughly adept at taking the piss.
Bordeaux has been pissing claret for years. I have never understood these overpriced Burgundys. About as faddish as Super Tuscans or the garage vintners. Im looking at importing some Georgian cases. Providence matters more than marquetting to me.

The quality that Bordeaux offers at modest prices (Beaumont, Cissac, Senejac) is impressive. See also the Rhone (Saint-Cosme, Soumade, Maby). Burgundy feels like a bubble.

Well yes, it's only 3% of Bordeaux thats nuts. Probably some Chinese fab tbh. Saving up for a few bottles of Guigal from Cote-Rotie. I'll pay for well reviewed wine. Sauternes had this bubble a few years back.
