Should we have to tell a doctors receptionist what is wrong with us when we call? They are NOT qualified and have NO right to ask us for our personal and private information. Something has to be done about this as it is getting out of hand.

Screen via practice nurse. It's a bad habit the NHS has picked up that unqualified staff are streaming patients. Cannot be justified.

Id rather an admin staff member were answering calls rather than have a qualified DR or Nurse answering phones.

We are not talking about answering calls. We are talking about streaming, which is clinical.

Thats streaming. What use can the receptionist make with that information, of what is wrong with the patient?
