Should we have to tell a doctors receptionist what is wrong with us when we call? They are NOT qualified and have NO right to ask us for our personal and private information. Something has to be done about this as it is getting out of hand.
It is a question of competence. There is nothing efficient about screening out patients who are sicker than would first appear. That becomes extremely wasteful down the line.

Who said anything about screening out, Jonathan? We both know there are safeguards on patient information. If you want attention, the best way of getting it is to follow the process & to respect the trust placed in staff by the practice. Gossips wouldn't be in the job very long.
