Will the supermarkets buy the shellfish the EU will not take and work with our fishing industry to sell it to U.K. buyers?

Supermarkets are full of farmed rubbish, prawns from dykes in Thailand, Basa from Vietnam.
@seafishuk@DefraGovUK have had years to market fresh UK fish. The fishing industry pay a levy tax, what do they get back in return ?128 antwoorden 102 retweets 472 vind-ik-leuks -

Basa is a disgusting fish, there is no need for that muck in the UK. Cruel, filthy farming conditions.

Vietnamese Basa needs banned.Farmed in vast quantities, treated w antibiotics n other meds. Banned in USA 4 yrs.Further, a reported complaint is that the fish is sprayed or treated with formalin2 delay or prevent spoiling. Formalin is carcinogenic.
@AldiUK sell loads of it.

I'd happily ban fish that swims and feeds in sewage and chemicals. Disgusting stuff.

You'll find all shellfish is contaminated by coliforms to a degree, they are scavengers.

Yes, but since you don't have the capacity to purify them in the UK you can't eat them.
