It's a choice. You assume I support UK policy on this. I don't. Contracts need to be honoured or they become worthless.

sure. but there's also the bit where the EU says that if you don't play ball, we'll frustrate your access to the entire EU market. AZ then face a choice between annoying the UK or the EU and picking the option that does less damage to the bottom line.
