Not advising drug use, of course, but if there is a more compelling argument for the legislation of marijuana than lockdown I've not heard it

Increased isolation = increased risk of depression/suicide psychosis. Increased drinking at home alone also not ideal. Legalisation is about making drugs cheaper for the middle classes.

Would you believe me if I said I used weed to *treat* the symptoms you have listed there? A genuine question.

I would but self medication with a drug that cannot be titrated with that side affect profile would lead me to suggest you get better treatment from GP. Cannabis smoke is terrible for lungs. Often worse than tobacco

Don't get me wrong, I am on Venlafaxine as well, and agree that there are side effects to cannabis. But the weed has definitely made the lockdown loneliness a lot more manageable. If I was on just Ven then I struggle to see a way out of not relapsing into serious MH issues.

But before lockdown I was topping up my medication with it anyway, it is a highly useful coping mechanism once you force yourself to battle through the lethargy.

The guilt from lethargy too, that's the vicious circle when guilt makes you lethargic. Very difficult.
