As Jacinda Ardern said - zero-covid may not be possible but along the way you will save many more lives - surely that has to be ultimate goal of public health? And what if you don't achieve elimination by vaccines - what;s the damage? I think Devi is a bright star.

She is not in public health. That is a clinical specialty and they are perfectly sound public health questions. Ask a public health prof.

I use public health as a general term but if you want to be specific she is a public health researcher and knows her stuff.

No, public health is a clinical speciality. As is emergency medicine, surgery, orthopaedics.
