That’s not what the email says. It says only 3 had no other conditions. Most of those who die are over 60. Few people over 60 have no comorbidities at all. It doesn’t mean only 3 actually died of COVID.

It says only 3 died from Covid alone. Isn’t that the point and what I said?

It’s says 3 died from COVID who had no comorbidities. It doesn’t mean comorbidities had a significant impact on their death of all the others. People are dying from COVID. That they have other things wrong with them doesn’t mean it wasn’t COVID that killed them.

Taking my area of interest, if you have small thyroid cancer, no spread, and get COViD and die, then you 100% died from COVID. The thyroid cancer is a comorbidity but had nothing to do with the outcome. Stripping these figures out is trying to diminish how serious this disease is

What if the cancer and it’s treatment left your immune system compromised which meant the Covid or say pneumonia had a bigger effect than it would’ve had on a healthy person?

I see the chest X-rays and CTs of COVID pneumonitis every day. This is nothing like we’ve seen before. I’ve been a doctor 20 years this year. We’ve had bird and swine flu, plus seasonal flu. This is on another level entirely, by a long way.

There are doctors that say otherwise. As a radiologist, what do you think the societal, educational and economical outfall will be from the measures? I’m not disrespecting you but from your position everything looks worse. You’re going to see it from the worst angle.

Another level.... in bad flu seasons ITU beds become scarce, sometimes people may be looked after briefly in other areas. Last year we quadrupled our ITU beds. Specialist surgeons are helping out with the medical ward rounds, or tasked with turning patients over in ITU. This has

Never ever happened before. I’m talking about what hospitals are like. Sure, most people don’t get very unwell with it, but hospitals are dealing with large numbers of very sick people right now.

Specialities have limited capacity making them special. Most who feel unwell wont go to A&E. Most who to go to A&E wont see me as the surgery SHO. Most I see won't get operated on. Tell that to the 3am AAA waiting behind the perfed colon. Capacity is overstretched in good times
